Plush Shaggy rugs will shed fibers which is completely normal. All rugs with a high pile will be subject to pile flattening over time. This is not considered a manufacturing fault as such none of our manufacturers cover this under any warranty. A plush high pile rug 4 cm and above will flatten & matt the most. Almost all of our shaggy rug’s collections are subject to flattening/matting for example, Montana, Polar, Sierra 9000, Extravagance, Plush, Barnaby - These Shaggy rugs due to the way they are made are prone to what is known in the rug industry as sprouting or pilling. This is where some strands/threads of the pile appear to be longer than the rest of the pile. When this happens all, you need to do is trim any longer strands with a pair of sharp scissors. it is important you do not pull these long threads as this can damage your rug. Sprouting/Pilling is common on high pile rugs and not a manufacturing fault
