Rocks Shaggy Natural/Beige Rug

Product Description:

These Rocks Shaggy has have a thick tubular pile that creates a real style statement in your home. Hand woven using the finest 100% pure wool to create a long lasting rug that is soft and cushioned underfoot.

Please measure your space if you’re considering an 80x150cm size rug. It is a small rug that is smaller than many customers anticipate,

Please Note: This thick high-density wool shaggy rug will shed wool heavily daily for the lifetime of the rug and fill your hoover bag each time it is hoovered.

Plush Shaggy rugs will shed fibers which is completely normal & no detriment to the rug. All rugs with a high pile will be subject to pile flattening over time. This is not considered a manufacturing fault as such none of our manufacturers cover this under any warranty. A plush high pile rug 4 cm and above will flatten & matt the most. Almost all of our shaggy rug’s collections are subject to flattening/matting for example, Montana, Polar, Sierra 9000, Extravagance, Plush, Barnaby - These Shaggy rugs due to the way they are made are prone to what is known in the rug industry as sprouting or pilling. This is where some strands/threads of the pile appear to be longer than the rest of the pile. When this happens all, you need to do is trim any longer strands with a pair of sharp scissors. it is important you do not pull these long threads as this can damage your rug. Sprouting/Pilling is common on high pile rugs and not a manufacturing fault

Our handmade wool rugs are made by hand, and each one is unique, with imperfections known as 'Abrash,' encompassing natural variations in colour, design, size, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. These imperfections, including loose threads, mixed colour yarns, and natural fibre loss, these give each rug character and uniqueness. Loose stray fibres can simply be cut with scissors, avoid pulling fibres, as it can damage the weave. Shedding is normal and expected in all wool rugs, Not a manufacturing fault. It is a natural feature that doesn't affect the rug's durability – it won’t wear out, Some will shed for the lifetime of the rug. Synthetic latex backing may cause a temporary chemical smell in new rugs, which fades over time. Wool rugs may have a natural, musty scent due to their animal fibre composition. If you prefer uniformity and perfection, consider machine-made rugs with synthetic materials for a consistent look. Please note that even if you exchange a rug, the replacement will have its own distinct imperfections and characteristics. Familiarize yourself with our handmade and wool disclaimers in our help centre to ensure you're informed before making a purchase.

Care Instructions VACUUMING:It is completely normal for your new rugs to shed fluff at first, this is caused by excess fibres that attach during the spinning process. Once the rug has been vacuumed a few times this will lessen and eventually stop. Regular vacuuming will help to keep your rug looking new for longer and prevent dirt that is on the surface of the rug getting embedded and making it much harder to clean. We would recommend the use of a suction vacuum cleaner to ensure that the pile of the rug isn’t damaged. It is always useful to rotate your rug on a regular basis to even out the wear of the rug or fade if it is in natural sunlight.SPILLS & STAINS:To prevent permanent stains on your rug any spills must be dealt with as soon as they happen. The best way to treat them is as follows:Blot up excess with a clean white cloth or paper towel, NB. never rub as this can spread the spillWorking from the outer edge of the stain to the centre, apply appropriate carpet cleaner with a clean clothPat with a paper towel and leave to dryVacuum the rugIf stain is still visible repeat the process until the stain is completely removedIf trying to remove the stain yourself doesn’t work contact a professional carpet/rug cleaning company
